There are many ways you can participate in making your promise to help future generations of young people. The following list of gift planning ideas should be fully discussed with your own legal or tax advisors to insure the right strategy for you and your family.

Bequests

Make a gift in your will. This can be designated as a percentage of your estate or in a specific dollar amount. Estate taxes can be reduced by the value of the gift made to the BGCGS Foundation. Read more..

Charitable gift annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity is the Foundation’s commitment to pay you a fixed amount each year for the rest of your life in exchange for a sum transferred to the Foundation. Read more..

Charitable Lead Trust

The Foundation receives payments from the trust for a given number of years. At the end of the trust term, the assets are returned to the owner or his or her designee. This is an excellent way to transfer assets to children and make difference in the lives of others. Read more..

Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT)

The donor receives a variable income for the rest of his or her life based on the trust principal. Trust assets are transferred to the Foundation upon the death of the donor. The tax deduction is based on the current value of the remainder interest going to the Foundation. Read more..

Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust

Similar to the Charitable Remainder Trust except the donor receives a fix income and unlike the CRT additional contributions cannot be made. Read more..

Gifts of Real Estate

Gifts of property such as undeveloped land, farms or personal residences may be transferred to the Foundation by deed. If you own your own home, ranch or vacation property you may be able to make a gift of the property, obtain an immediate tax deduction, and still continue to use the property as long as you wish. Life Insurance

You can purchase a new policy on your life naming the Boys & Girls Club of Scottsdale Foundation as the beneficiary. Annual premiums are fully tax deductible. If you have an existing policy that you no longer need, there are many tax wise ways to donate the policy to the Foundation. Read more..

Appreciated Securities

A gift of securities can be made to the BGCS Foundation thus avoiding capital gains taxes even though your “gains” will be applied to your tax deductible gift. Read more..

Gifts of Cash

Of course as with any charity the quickest and easiest way to put your contribution to work is to make a cash gift to the foundation. As with all gifts your cash gift will be held in perpetuity to benefit future generations of young people. Read more..
